Visit to Kuala GAndah Santuary and Deer Land - SERONOK!!

He he... another acara tertunda..
During the last school hols..(yes, that long I peram gambar ni..  ), we went to the elephant santuary which is located in Lanchang, Pahang..basically it was only about an hour drive from Gombak, rumah my parents..
We reach the Elephant Santuary at about 11am, tapi for the morning session orang dah ramai sangat. And for ur info, only the fisr 100 visitors je yang boleh join activities with the elephants..so we opted for the afternoon session which starts at 2pm.
While waiting, we drove the the nearby Deer Land.. dalam 10 minutes drive je. It is a private own zoo, animals tak la banyak, yang banyak are the deers but the best part is that you can feed the animals..the deer, bears, boleh pegang porcupine, beri makan orstrich and pegang rabits..Entrance fee to the deer land was very minimal..I rasa adults about RM5 kot.. can't remember but it was very worth it.
So after the visit to the Deer Land, we had lunch at the Elephant Santuary and get ourselves ready for the activities with the elephant..
Besar siut, the elephants!! Yang paling tua is 32 years old..yang paling cute is the baby which I think tak sampai setahun kot.
The activities were, mula-mula bagi makan elephant, then the elephant rides ( ada 3 elephants yang involved.. yang baby bawa the kids and the besar bawa the orang tua... and the best part was MANDI with the ELEPHANTS!!!
Bab-bab mandi ni, I and my nephew tak join k.. kami tengok dari atas tebing je...yang lain semua lompat naik atas elephant and then the elephant akan kind of jatuhkan badan dia and sapa yang dok atas tu kira mandi sekali le..  My husband mula-mula tak nak mandi and Izzuddin and Aja akan naik together, where Izzuddin akan pegang Aja.. tapi tengok the elephant punyala tinggi and the water of the river was kind of dalam, hubby had no choice but to lompat naik sekali and I holds on to everything, his glasses, wallets, handphone, rokok and lighter ( rasa macam nak bagi basah je rokok and lighter tu, bukan selalu dapat peluang pegang benda tu..he he..!)
Frankly, memang seronok sangat..it was a great experience.. Masuk was free but your contribution is very most welcome.
We all dah plan dah, the next time kami balik KL, we would definitely pergi lagi.. this time more prepared with food, sabun mandi, shampoo and other stuff.

Salam... My dear sister has delievered her twins.. Ini actually lama, dah, which was somewhere middle of June 2008, tapi since I kind of busy..k.. lambat sikit update.. sorry
The babies are girls and they are the 4th and the 5th child to my sis, Azween Zakaria and hubby, Rijal.
Nama the twins - ALEEMA NADIRA, at birth weights 2.97kg and delivered at 11.39am while ALEEYA BAHIRA weighs 3.14kg and she decided to come out to join us at 11.46am .
I was in Shah Alam recently for a one day meeting and I took the oppurtunity to visit her. The girls are adorable.
According to my sis, the two cuties would sleep tight during the day, tapi akan start active the minute it is midnight.. and it would last until 4am.. Adeh.. ini yang tak sanggup ni.. 
The girls are identical twins tapi according to my sis, yang muka panjang sikit is the younger one while the gempal of muka bulat is the kakak.. tapi I nampak serupa je.. he he.. tak ada beza!!

Food - Massive update... sorry ye.. kind of busy la pulak

Lamanya tak update.. kind of busy la..so I think might as well I update by batches and theme..kalau food, I gabung kan semua ..
1. Fried Spaghetti with cheese - I made this for breakfast on one of the Fridays ( sini kan Friday cuti.. jadi kena heavy la sikit breakfastnya as semua orang ada di rumah). THE spaghetti was actually left over from yesterdays' dinner/ snack.. jadi dari terbuang, paginya goreng la..
2. Blueberry muffins - I tried the recipe from Kak Rinn.. thanks ye sis!! senang je rupanya buat benda tu, and frankly the muffin mengenyangkan.. makan satu pun dah kenyang. For that particular recipe, I got almost like 25 cups, therefore I hulur kat neighbors sikit..
3. The orange butter cake, pun from Kak Rinn's fotopage, I made for my 2nd boy, dia nak pergi camping pengakap and requested the orange cake as bekal.. Uminya dengan happy fulfilled his request.

The food I prepared....

I kena pergi kursus seminggu, therefore I perpare siap2 some cookies and chocolate cake for the children plus hubby... kesian nanti.. maklumla cuti sekolah, semua ada di rumah..
The recipe for cake and the cookies are from Amy Mustafa. ada saya cut and paste di bawah..

Moist Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
250g flour
250g castor sugar
250g butter
5 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup cocoa powder
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup plain water
Method:
Heat water, cocoa powder and sugar in a pan. Let it boil for a while until the mixture becomes slightly thick.
Turn of fire and leave to cool.
Beat butter and sugar for 10 minutes. Add in eggs one at a time. Add in flour and baking powder. Finally add in the cooled chocolate mixture.
Steam in a round 12" baking pan lined with baking paper and cover with foil.
This cake will take approx. 2 hours to steam but is worth waiting for....
Ganache:
250g Double Cream
250g Cooking Chocolate/ Belgium Chocolate (is even better )
Place double cream in a pan and let it boil.
Break chocolate in small pieces and place in pan.
Turn off heat and stir chocolate until melt.

Wonderful Years Kindergarten - Parents Day 2008

Function : Parents Day
Date: 10th May 2008
Venue : Kelab Bandar Laguna Merbok
Kalau selalunya the kindergarten celebrate MOther's Day, this year the principal decided to do something different. We celebrated PARENTS DAY instead.
It was an occasion where the children say THANK YOU to the parents.
My princess was selected to give the opening speech in English together with her classmate, Trusthi who gave the speech in Bahasa Melayu..( he he.. me and hubby punya la proud and we make sure that she read and pronounce it properly.. a few days before the function, you can hear everyone in the house assisted her with that!!)
All students from her class, K2K, performed the [color=pink]IRISH DANCE. It was a lovely performance and they won the 1st price. You should see the children dancing... cute sangat!!
The function starts at 8.30am and habis at about 12.30pm..

Wedding in Taiping - Sharifah Aisyah Alhady
|
|
We attended a wedding in Taiping, Perak.
Sharifah Aisyah Alhady is Syed's cousin as their fathers are brothers.. It was also a session where we meet up with all the Aunties, Uncles and cousins yang turun from Singapore and KL..
We left for Taiping right after Friday prayers and reach Taiping for the solonization at 3.30pm. and we headed back for SP at about 6.30pm..

New family member - Johnny and Betty
|
|
Haniff has requested for this ever since last year.. tapi both me and Syed, were not very keen to have pets in the house...
However, I did not know what happen, the father finally agreed to have the two hamsters in the house....We named them Johnny and Betty.. ( macam cerita 'Payton Place' drama orang putih dulu-dulu)
So far yang berani pegang are only Izzuddin, Aja and Syed... as for me and Haniff sekadar tengok dari jauh je..
The two hamsters are very active from 9.30pm sampai le ke Subuh and would sleep like a log during the day. Johnny is a bit playful, whereas Betty macam susah sikit nak pegang.. akan lari bagai nak gila kalau nak ambil dia

Kak, nowdays, bila I buka your fp, I selalu tunjuk kat my boys ur photos of activities and they admire ur elder boys oppurtunities dapat main American footbal kat sana...hmmmm... I suruh je dia orang belajar rajin-rajin, nanti boleh p join main... |
